Jonathan Jones praises new Patriots safeties coach Brian Belichick after his promotion

Brian Belichick finally got promoted to safeties coach, a position Steven Belichick made one the best in the league. Bill moved Steven to outside linebackers coach and Covington to defensive line coach after his staff bolted to New Jersey to coach the Giants. Brian has been with the team since 2016.

Jonathan Jones talked about how Intelligent Brian was on Wednesday. "Knowledge, He’s grown up around the ball. His whole life has been football, so you get a lot of knowledge from him, what he’s learned from being around. He’s been around it so much his entire life. He definitely brings that facet to the game and just another set of eyes on the game.”

While Jones's comments don't say a lot of Brian B, they say plenty about him. Brian has huge shoes to fill as he is the second of Bill's children to join the staff.

Back in December, Steven Belichick spoke about his brother with NESN and here's what he said, "He brings a lot of stuff, He kind of has a little more of an intellectual point of view than I have, so we feed off each other. I rely on him a lot to help me out with a bunch of different stuff. He helps me out a lot. Hopefully, I teach him a couple things.”

While Amanda Belichick is building a coaching career at Holy Cross, she could soon find her way onto the Patriots staff as women in the league become more accepted. For now, Brian will have a lot of eyes on him, analyzing every move he makes.
