Hoyer continues to sneak bye as the two former Tigers throw a slew of interceptions.

As training camp heats up Belichick took a day without contact. To give his players' bodies a chance to rest. While Byrd is becoming the favorite receiver if all three quarterbacks, one quarterback seems to be having a better camp.

On Monday Stidham out played Newton. On Tuesday, It was the other way around, as Stidham threw two interceptions. On Wednesday both Newton and Stidham would throw a pair of interceptions while consistant and unnoticed, Brian Hoyer continues not to make any mistakes in this competition, and seems to be winning at the moment.

After the poor day from the two former Auburn Tigers, the frontrunners in the competition. I think the team has worked hard. They're really trying to, I'd say, be attentive, correct things from one play to the next or from one day to the next. When we make emphasis points on things we need to try to do better, either individually or collectively as a group, they've really responded and tried to fix the things that needed fixing. Not that we've got them all fixed by any means but I could see progress. I've seen consistent progress over the last really four practices and then the two this week, so really the last six practices where we've started to, like I said, take things from the meetings and the corrections out onto the field and improve on them the next day and so forth.

They're doing a good job. We've just got to get a lot of things done here. The wheels start spinning a lot faster in a few days, but for right now, we're just trying to stay at a good teaching pace and be able to get some time to work and improve on our fundamentals, some of the basic things that we need to do, on almost every play. Hopefully, we can build a good base as we move forward."

While Belichick is trying to stay positive, anytime a coach says "we gotta get back to fundamentals", it's usually because the players are making dumb rookie mistakes, that they should know better on.

With six interceptions in two days, regardless if it's against the best secondary in football, clearly knowing how to read a defense or look off a defender has been forgotten. The main thing about being a Patriots quarterback is being patient and taking what the defense gives you. It seems, Stidham and Newton forgot that as they try to outshine each other.

One other quick note, Edelman was back in practice running good routes but had a case of the dropsies on the day. After a mysterious absence yesterday, one must wonder if minitron has damaged one of his parts again.
