Patriots quarterbacks speak.

So Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham, and Brian Hoyer all spoke to the press today. The media did their best to ask some good questions but received typical Patriots answers for the most Part.

One quick side note, neither Joe Neboo, Lawrence Owen, or Ray Rauth, of sportscastr news were there to ask any of the tough questions.

The media asked Cam Newton about when he started having talks with the Patriots. This was a chance for Cam to dismiss the conspiracy rumors, that he knew he was going to sign, when he was cut and that he may have possibly had the Playbook since then. Cam Newton's answer however, was he "could not remember" when he started talking to the Patriots. There were no follow-ups to this question by the Press, which really gave no closer to the subject.

When asked about the other quarterbacks on the roster, the three quarterbacks said that they each brought something different and that it was a learning experience.

Both Stidham and Hoyer were asked about the signing of Cam Newton. Neither gave any real answer. They gave the generic He was signed, it's something that happens. Anything to help the team.

When the three of them were asked about the quarterback competition and them said it was a chance to learn and that competition was a good thing. It allowed them to improve.

All three quarterbacks said they were ready to start. Stidham and Hoyer also admit they're willing to take on what ever role necessary. Cam wasn't asked about willingness to take on back up role.

There were several other questions asked but the three quarterbacks gave nonchalant answers. It was the typical Patriots way.
