Frank Gore signing one year deal with the New York Jets

Frank Gore continues his rounds as he signs with the New Jersey Jets. Gore is going to call MetLife stadium in New Jersey home in 2020, as he is being signed to take Carries away from Bell. Gore, who's 36, had a productive year rushing for 599 yards in 2019.

Matthew Schmidt of clutchpoint gave his two cents, "While Gore’s production has clearly declined over the years, he has still been very durable, as he has missed just two games since 2011."

Gore is one the all time rushing leaders. Gore's stats may have slipped but so did his carries. When older backs have to split carries it always hurts their stats. Gore has been down 100 carries each of the last two seasons.

Gore needs 1,379 yards to pass Sweet Feet Walter Peyton. It's doubtful Gore will get the Carries this up coming season but with the way Gore has been running, he could accomplish that by the End of the 2021 season.

If Gore stays consistent and is allowed to play as long as he is being productive, Gore should pass Emmitt Smith as the all time rusher at the end if the 2024 season. Gore is racing father time and playing for Adam Gase is sure to slow him down.

Fans are getting to watch a special player in Gore, regardless of the team, appreciate him while you can. Backs like him are few and in between.

Why the Jets gave Joe Flacco a new home before Cam Newton

The New Jersey Jets signed former superbowl MVP, quarterback Joe Flacco to a one year contract.

Steven Kubitza of 12up is shocked the Jets would sign a superbowl winning quarterback over a superbowl losing quarterback.

"Flacco to the Jets is not exactly a world-breaking story. However, it is insane to think that the team went with him when Cam Newton remains on the open market."

Neither guy has exactly looked good as of recent. Someone should let Kubitza know that.

Newton wants to start and apparently hasn't realized that no NFL team is looking for a starter. The longer Newton waits, the more likely he'll sit out the 2020 season.

People.who say that Newton is damaged goods, must remember that Flacco is older and coming off a neck injury.

Flacco was not looking to start and was willing to play for less. While Flacco might not be the starter week one, if Darnold plays bad enough, he could be benched to be developed while the position is temporarily awarded to Joe.

For those still shocked about this, remember the NFL is about money and nobody is entitled. This isn't pro baseball or basketball, and Newton is not Lebron.

Cam only has a few options to hope will come true but as long as he's hoping to start, he's running real risk of nobody signing him.
