Revealing Quote on Patriots view Jarrett Stidham as a starter.

Matt Miller has the inside track on the Patriots thanks to a conversation he had with an NFL agent, according to DJ Siddiqi of Clutch Point.

"New England is locked in on giving Jarrett Stidham a shot as the franchise quarterback. One top quarterback tried meeting with the Patriots in February but came away saying "they like the guy they have". " Miller never gave up his source.

Tom Brady one of the most decorated quarterbacks in NFL history, left for Tampa in March. Thus forcing the Patriots to move on early to Stidham. Although there were many doubters who ignored the evidence, Brady left a trail of breadcrumbs that he was leaving going back to last summer.

"New England is thinking long term with Stidham. According to a pro personal scout, the brain trust believes they can win with the quarterback on a rookie deal. The Patriots are poised for free agency runs in 2021 and 2022." Again Miller fails to name the source.

The Patriots are about to have $110 Million in 2021 and only Bout to pay Stidham $800,000. That means after they resign free agents, they have a lot of cap to upgrade the roster.

As much as Pats Nation may hate to hear this. The best thing Brady could've done for the Patriots is walk away, as it allows the Patriots to improve the rest of the team drastically over the next two seasons. Brady may have just made it so by the end of the 2022 season, Jarrett Stidham is a superbowl champion. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

Getting back to 2020, The Patriots have not signed any veterans besides Hoyer and may have been beaten to the punch at getting their quarterback in the draft, as they waited until after the draft to acquire two undrafted rookies.

Belichick spoke on Stidham and it appears to validate everything that Matt Miller has reported.

“Circumstances will be different this year. We spent quite a bit of time with Stid. [Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels] and myself, we have a pretty good feel for [him].”

Whether fans, Sports analysts, or talking head Patriots-haters like it, Jarrett Stidham is the front runner heading into the 2020 season. If you're not down with that, Tampa still has room on their bandwagon and you could follow the Buccaneers the next two to four years, before hoping on the Patty Mahomes train.
