NFL lays out guidelines to reopening facilities

Roger Goodell is doing everything he can to make sure the NFL is on in September. He knows that if the Patriots aren't playing, the NFL ain't making no money.

Goodell shutdown NFL team facilities preventing all 32 teams from operating for the most part. Goodell released a statement recently on the path forward to playing.

“Clubs should take steps to have these protocols in place by Friday, May 15 in anticipation of being advised when club facilities will formally reopen,” Goodell said in the memo per Grant Gordon of NFL.com.

Cole McCauley of Clutch Point notes "More importantly, the memo states that no team can re-open their facilities unless every team is eligible, which is likely based on the rules of local government."

Teams and anyone associated with the sport, including family members must wear proper ppe, submit to daily medical screenings and questions. An experience sure to make many uncomfortable but welcome to the age of the coronavirus.

Either they all open or they all stay closed. All for one and one for all, if only the federal government and 50 states had that kind of integrity and competence when handling the coronavirus.

Goodell is also borrowing part of the "Patriots Way". When it comes to people speaking about the upcoming season.

McCauley wrote "Goodell discouraged public comments from club officials concerning hypotheticals with regards to the 2020 season."

While we all wait for the start the 2020 season, for the safety and survival the league, it's understandable why Roger the clown would want everyone tight lipped. In the sue-happy society we live in, one wrong statement could cost the NFL billions.

The last thing any of us want to see is the NFL fold faster then the XFL 2.0
