"At Marshall. Rohrwasser hit 79 of 82 of his extra-point attempts in his two seasons with Marshall. At the University of Rhode Island, he went 39 of 41 extra point attempts (95%)" according to Mike Masala of Pats wire. However , Mike notes, that's using the old NFL Extra point rules. He'll be adding 13 yards to his extra points in the pros.
Rohrwasser only went 15 of 20 on field goals at Rhode Island. At Marshall he was only slightly better kicking 33 of 42. Going from 75% to 78.6% field goal accuracy. He also showed his leg, kicking a buzzer beating 53 yarder against Western Kentucky.
Honestly, that's great if he can kick 20 yard field goals but bad for the Patriots, if they need him to repeatedly. The issue comes when he has to kick longer than 20 yards. He still only making little over 3 out of every four kicks.
There is an issue about a racist tattoo. His teammates at marshal have come to his defense.
Matt Vautour wrote in an interview with some of Rohrwasser's teammates “I was kind of shocked. I thought it was a joke at first. The first thing I thought was, they must not really know him. In my three years of knowing him, I never got a whiff of that. Not one bit," said Knox, who is African American. “He’s a real funny guy, never spiteful of anybody. I’ve never even seen him mad. I was completely surprised when I heard that. That can’t be right. Anyone that’s around him knows that’s the furthest thing from that.”
Being it's the Patriots, with the media that could be a distraction. However, he's getting the tattoo removed. The real issue is can he kick. If not, he's not only a wasted draft pick but not worth the cost to make his NFL Uniform. Here's hoping he's not another one if Belichick's whiffs.
