N'Keal Harry set for a huge 2020 season.

Mohamed Sanu wasn't the only Patriots' player who suffered an ankle injury in 2019. N'Keal Harry missed nine games as a Patriot due to an ankle injury. Harry was able to start five games and played in seven.

Harry was praised as one of the best receivers in the 2019 NFL draft. However, this writer thought Harry was a mid to late second round pick at best. Harry has the frame of a move tight end and should've been converted as he doesn't have the traditional speed of an X receiver. That was the first part of the reason why Harry had a bad 2019.

Another reason for Harry's poor rookie season was the zebras. The referees didn't help Harry's stat line, especially in the Chiefs game where the officiating crew robbed Harry of a touchdown; among other bad calls that led to the Chiefs victory.

Harry had 105 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12 catches. While Harry will have to improve as a pass catcher, his stats weren't all his fault.

The final extenuating circumstance to Harry's disappointing year, was because of quarterback play. Tom Brady did not want to train or mentor the rookies and bring them up to speed. Brady's refusal to work with the younger guys hurt the entire offense.

Brady even said that if he didn't trust a guy, he wouldn't throw to them regardless of how open they were. That was evident all throughout the 2019 season and was partially to blame for the lack of production by both the receiving core and tight end unit.

Harry is a lock to be on the first string offense. As long as he puts in the work, Patriots Nation should see a big improvement in year two. The biggest concern will be can Harry stay healthy. Harry should make a solid number two for the Patriots, and With all the receivers on the roster, here's hoping they convert Harry to move tight end where he belongs.
