Gronk Talks About Playing For Belichick

After retiring in the spring of 2019 and moving on to become a champion in the world of Pro Wrestling, Rob Gronkowski decided he wanted to play football again and was traded to the Pirates of the Caribbeam. Gronk's personality should fit right in next to Captain Jack Sparrow, as they sink the black pearl into the bay of Tampa.

Marty Fenn wrote an article "Buccaneers' Rob Gronkowski on what is like playing for Bill Belichick". In the article Fenn wrote "Gronkowski was both complimentary and straightforward in his view of what it was like to play for the Pats and head coach Bill Belichick."

Gronk was quoted as saying "I've learned so much football from the best coach, hands down, in all of football, Coach Belichick." When asked how much of returning with Bucs is not playing for Belichick. This is a Patriots answer, Gronk is about promoting self, and he has learned from the hoodie that anything he says can be bad for the product.

Mike Giardi tweeted "Asked Gronkowski about how much his retirement had to do with the hard-coaching style of Belichick. "Coach says all the time it's not an easy place to play" and "I'm not going to sit here and say it's an easy organization to play for."

Gronkowski didn't say anything that we didn't already know. Belichick has the Patriots running like a business. When you're a Patriot, you're not just some grown man playing a game, you're a corporate employee and treated as such.  Everything the Patriots do is about business. It's why one of their mottos is "Do Your Job!".

Anyone who thinks you sign with the Patriots to play a game and win rings, hasn't been paying attention to the last twenty years. The "Patriots way" isn't for everybody. Everyone wants to get paid to play a game but if you're not willing to put in the work, you should let your agent or the team know prior to signing. Many players don't think that far ahead though, all they're seeing is the zeros at the end check.
