Breaking News: It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's The Return Of David Andrews

David Andrews missed the entire 2019 season with life threatening Blood clots. A condition in which his size should make him a candidate for a possible relapse. The Patriots made due without him but it just wasn't the same.

David Andrews released the following statement during day one of the 2020 NFL draft. “I know 2020 has affected everyone in ways we couldn’t have imagined prior, But with the draft over the next few days a lot of dreams are gonna be realized for a lot of players entering the league. During this time there has been a lot of time for reflection on the past, present and future. As to the future I’m excited that I’ll have the opportunity to play the game I love again. When and whatever the nfl season looks like I’m just thankful that I’ll be able to get back to competing with my teammates and coaches. Go pats.”

Isaiah Houde of Patriotswire broke the news saying "The addition of Andrews will be huge for the Patriots — who lost their backup Ted Karras in free agency this offseason. The Patriots also have 2019 fourth-round pick Hjalte Froholdt who has some experience at center."

So what does this mean? In plain terms, the Patriots can wait until the 4th round before getting a back up center. The Patriots have Cajuste and Froholdt so one should not be surprised if the Patriots get someone who can play the entire offensive line. The Patriots also have Eluemunor, which also takes pressure off of Belichick.

If the Patriots can reach a deal with Thuney, they will have the entire starting line returning. The new CBA helps but it all depends on Thuney's asking price. There's always a chance Thuney can be shipped out between now and the start of the regular season. For now it's good to have a bright spot, when the team has just seen a few darkdays.. All I can say is Welcome Back David Andrews.
