Jamaal Sheard has finally escaped the clutches of the dreadful organization known as the Indianapolis Colts. You know, the team who hangs participation banners and are responsible for the worst fake punt attempt of all time, back in October of 2015 against the Patriots. Yeah, those guys.
For those that don't remember Sheard, he was a Chandler Jones type player who produced 13 sacks for the Patriots and helped the Patriots win a superbowl.
Sheard has the versatility to play anywhere in the front seven, and is mainly used on the edge.
Steven Kubitza wrote Sheard "is already familiar with the system. Getting him back in New England could lead to a similar resurgence as to what was seen with Jamie Collins in 2019."
The Patriots would have to clear up some cap but Sheard's ability and experience could be very beneficial to a Patriots team looking to maintain their dominance over the AFC East.
