Patriots offense can exploit Dalton Keene's untapped potential and reform the dynamic duo.

The Patriots drafted two tight ends from the 2020 draft class. Asiasi can be lined up the  same way the Patriots use Gronkowski. Which gives them versatility. Then they drafted Dalton Keene, a unique weapon in himself.

Keene was a former quarterback and linebacker in high school. Who went to Virginia Tech where he was used more in Aaron Hernandez's type roles. From H-Back to slot and even halfback. Keene can lineup as an undersized inline blocker as well.

Coach Belichick spoke about Keene "They did a lot of things to try to get him the ball one way or another: hand it to him, throw it to him, put him in different locations so that he could run with it or catch it and run with it. I've already talked to him about that, that it's going to be a big transition for him in terms of learning our system, being I would say, more detailed, more specific on a lot of assignments, particularly in the passing game, learning how to block in close quarters. "

Asiasi and Keene, the two Combine roommates were selected in the same round. They had a little time to get to know each other and realize they are under pressure to replicate the greatest tight end duo the NFL has ever seen. This is huge shoes to fill, so both men are going to be under enormous pressure and the fans in Foxboro aren't always so nice.

Mike Dussault quoted Asiasi about being roommates with Keene. "I think it was really good to start to build that relationship. I think that's going to help us out a lot moving forward because we've already broken the ice and we already know each other. I'm really looking forward to playing with him."

The Patriots await to assemble for training camp and have a lot of work to do to get ready for the season. Hopefully, Hoyer or Stidham will show that they're the captain of the offense and not wait for the team; and start working with their new offensive unit.

Patriots fans should be excited to see the new tight end crop join Ryan Izzo for the 2020 season and watch Matt Lacosse find his way to the free agent market, where he belongs.
