The Patriots are in an Offense retool mode in 2020. Tom Brady is gone and Hoyer is Back. The Patriots stocked up on a couple tight ends and linemen in the draft but for the most part, the offense looks the same. Yet, there is uncertainty over who's the quarterback going forward.
In 2019 the Patriots ended the sign AB rumors, as the Patriots brought in the troubled wideout; who couldn't live up to the Patriots way and was cut for off field issues.
Thankfully the Sign Dez chants ended but there is one plee that may have also stopped when Brady left.
OBJ wanted to play with Brady in New England and fans wanted the Patriots to acquire him. Everyone remembers last year when he gave Brady the shoes.
Brady is now in Tampa, and The Patriots no longer have the GOAT under center. Nobody Is rushing to be part of the Patriots including OBJ. In fact everyone is doubting the team.
Tom Curran recently spoke on OBJ to the Patriots. “I’ve talked to Odell myself just about how he feels about Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, so it was the combination of those two guys that he from afar always wistfully wished he could be a part of that. Now that Tom isn’t there, I wouldn’t necessarily think that this is something he would be clamoring after.”
I hope that's true, I don't see OBJ's work ethic as something the Patriots are hungering for. The Patriots have a plethora of pass catchers to develop heading into the season.
So as Skylar Carlin of Clutch Points said " with Brady continuing his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the rumors involving Beckham to the Patriots can now cease to exist."
