The thought that gives other NFL teams nighmares.

Some analysts predict that 68 year old Bill Belichick is near the end of his career as a Head Coach. Ignoring that Marv Levy, George Halas, Joe Paterno, Frank Solich, Bill Snyder, Bobby Bowden, and many assistant coaches have coached well into their 70s and 80s. Solich is still coaching at Ohio, and Belichick is coaching for fun right now.

People think Trevor Lawrence will go number one in 2021. There is a tank for Trevor movement in the NEW England fan base. That thought haunts many NFL coaches and general managers.

The Patriots fielded the Best defense in 2019, so it's hard to imagine that being a possibility. However the Patriots offense, although rattled with injury, looked abysmal.

The Patriots added two tight ends but barely did anything to address the receiving core. The Patriots lost the GOAT and are looking to have a career backup or a sophomore under center. Sophomores are known to slump in their second season.

The Patriots also lost one of, if not the best Kicker of the decade in Gostkowski. They replaced him with Justin Rohrwasser, a kicker coming out of college with a 78.6 field goal percentage and a career long of 53 yards. Not exactly inspiring to know he's probably gonna miss 1 out of every 4 attempts.

Belichick doesn't have to tank to get Trevor. All Belichick has to do is the same thing he's done for the last 20 years. If his team cannot execute on offense or special teams, Bill will slide into range of the number one. While it's unlikely this will happen, it's not improbable. Knowing that keeps many a coaches up at night.
