Patriots still worried about Newton's shoulder, now have to deal with Stidham's lower body injury.

Jarrett Stidham went to the hospital on friday with conflicting reports on whether he had a leg or a hip injury. Due to NFL rules, the Patriots don't yet have to disclose any injury information. Apparently, the Patriots are also still concerned with one of Newton's previous injuries.

CBS's Johnathan Jones reported, "Multiple sources I've spoken to have said if they're concerned about any Newton injury, it's his shoulder far more than his foot."

Jones also pointed out that Newton benefited from not taking hits due to the foot injury last season. Could this explain why Belichick is open to a platoon role early on? With how this competition was going, it's a possibility.

Stidham was looking more accurate and the two were neck and neck but Ian Rapaport had said Stidham has been distracted dealing with an injury since Tuesday when he started to quote "look off". 

Having two quarterbacks that the team is concerned with their health is not good. I have faith in Hoyer in the Patriots system but Hoyer isn't the athlete of either of the other two. Which is gonna put more pressure on the other phases of the game.
