Is Belichick keeping veteran pass catchers away from quarterbacks?

The quarterbacks are battling for the starting job and all three have been on a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Ryan Hannable of WEEI mentioned that the veteran receivers weren't help out the trio very much.

On Thursday Hannable again mentioned something. "It wasn’t the greatest day for all three — Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer — but they were the victim of a few drops and also not having N’Keal Harry on the field at all, and a limited Julian Edelman..."

This week so far I haven't seen much of James White, Rex Burkhead, Muhamad Sanu, N'Keal Harry, or Julian Edelman. Everything has been the back up depth chart guys, along with 3rd round draft pick Devin Asiasi.

Now I know Edelman is dealing with some kinda injury but still, not having all the main weapons make news articles on passing drills? Something's up with that.

Edelman can improve any quarterbacks game. Without Edelman to rely on last year, Brady sucks; let's be honest. Sanu, Harry, and Meyers are twos and threes. Also capable of making a quarterback look better because of they're ability. Not that I'm saying they're stellar by any means.

This is a quarterback battle and the secondary is Elite, so why not put the depth guys who need development out there and let these three guys who are competing for the job prove they can make good decisions with lesser talent. Being a former MVP, this should Benefit Newton.

Question is, is Belichick diabolical enough to do this? You bet your candy asses he is. Bill is a master manipulator that lives and breathes the gray line of the rules of coaching. He knows more than majority of the coaches in the league, so of course Bill would put these quarterbacks in a situation where their ability would have to elevate the pass catchers and their decision making would come into play.

It's up to Jedd Fisch to make sure these three guys are mentally and physically prepared to go out and get the job. Belichick is giving them the opportunity and If they make mistakes, they'll be pulled from a set of drills, like a 7 on 7 after throwing too many picks during the 11 on 11 drills.

Soon the veteran pass catchers will be out there making their presence known, and the frontrunner of the quarterback room will see his game elevate. Until then they have to make due with what Belichick gives them.
