Patriots Cut Injured Slot Receiver

On Friday, the New England Patriots cut undrafted free agent wide receiver Will Hastings out of Auburn for the second time this August.

By now everyone knows Hustings was referred to as Stidham's slot receiver, as the two had great chemistry in 2018, however Hastings was too injured to practice and never got to show his skills.

If you read my earlier stuff on Hastings, you know that Belichick has been scouting Hastings since high school, when Bill's friend and Hastings's coach asked Bill to.

Belichick would have Hastings come for a game and hang out in the locker room each year since. It was to the point that both Flores and and Matt Patrcia both went personally to Auburn to scout him at his pro day.

Hastings isn't just a speedy slot receiver, although running a 4.45 doesn't hurt. He's also an onside kick specialist, return man and potential gunner.

Hastings has the potential to clear waivers and revert back to the Patriots IR. However, it is unclear if the Patriots will keep him or cut him. The kid surely will make a team somewhere.
