Elite Patriots secondary exposes offensive needs.

The Patriots held their fourth day of practice. Although N'keal Harry had a touchdown grab in the end zone, the elite secondary dominated practice. The team still has holes on offense. While I've said why I'd like to see certain offensive linemen signed, here are several other players that could help.

Justin Hardy, a 5'10" 190 pound slot and flanker from Atlanta. He's always been hidden in the shadows down south. He has 95 catches for 956 yards and 9 touchdowns over his career. He has experience on special teams and can return kicks and punts if necessary. The thing I like about Hardy is he has reliable hands.

Marcus Kemp, a former Rainbow Warrior of Hawaii. Kemp is an X and Z receiver who played for Kansas City. He is another big body at 6'4" 210 pounds. He got buried on the depth chart and only saw two passes his way. Kemp caught 387 passes for 4541 yards and 35 touchdowns in 49 games at Hawaii. Kemp was also a decent punt returner for the warriors having a 7.9 yard average on 63 returns.

Maurice Harris the 6'3" 205 pound X and Z receiver who dominated the Patriots camp before getting injured and signed by the Saints. Harris showed he could get open last season but a drop in the preseason and injury ended his career in Foxboro. Harris never had a chance to redeem himself after the drop and a second look wouldn't hurt.

Quincy Enunwa, a 6'2" 225 pound X receiver from the Jets with returner capabilities. The Jets were a dumpster fire that was poorly coached. Enunwa deserves a chance to prove himself for a real staff. Enunwa runs a 4.45 forty time. In 118 offensive plays at Nebraska, he caught 115 balls for 1526 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The Patriots have enough small body slot and flanker receivers, that's why Hardy was the only short guy listed.. However if they wanted to look at former colt Mailk Henry, I wouldn't object. The Patriots have other holes on offense.

The Patriots drafted two tight ends but a true veteran experience and also Depth at fullback are needed. Here are guys who could help with one or both needs.

Matt Lengell. Lengell was on a team with Dwayne Allen and Rob Gronkowski. He was developing into the teams third tight end when injury say him lose his job. Lengell is a 6'7" 265 pound redzone threat.

Geoff Swain is a 6'4" 260 pound tight end known for his blocking and can play that H-back role if fullback Jacob Johnson goes down. He was drafted by the cowboys in the seventh round of 2015. He runs a 4.61 forty so he has deceptive speed for a tight end. He runs decent routes but is a little unpolished as a pass catcher.

CJ Conrad a 6'5" 252 pound H-back tight end. Conrad had 80 catches for 1015 yards and 12 touchdowns in college. Not bad for a guy who basically played out of the fullback role. Conrad can also play the A.H. move tight end or the traditional inline spot. Conrad spent time with the Giants last season, on their practice squad mainly.

Ben Koyack another 260 pound 6'5" versatile Tight end. Koyack can do everything Conrad can do. Koyack however was actually drafted in the seventh round and Has caught 25 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown. Koyack's desire to play was found lacking for scouts and is why he fell to the seventh round to thr Jaguars.

Jeff Heuerman a 6'5" 255 pound former 3rd round draft pick. The Broncos released in a move to save money. Heuerman still needs a little development and the right system. He's another true tight end, who would shine with the Patriots as a H-back and redzone threat. He ran a 4.72 forty but didn't test for the three cone.

Spencer Nigh a 6'0" 260 pound fullback who was recently released by Pittsburgh. Nigh was considered one of the top fullbacks in the 2019 draft but was used by Auburn as an H-back tight end more than a true fullback. Nigh can play special teams and can also be used as a power back like former Patriots Joey Losefa. He's mainly known for his blocking ability and his receiving ability is untapped.

The Patriots could use some help on offense, these guys could provide some competition and could actually be useful to the Patriots. Especially those capable of playing the H-back tight end position as When Devlin and Johnson went down, they were decimated in the run game.

Bill Belichick was back to his old tricks on Sunday, now that the NFL has removed the restrictions rule on free agents. The Patriots had four players in for workouts with little intention of signing them.
