Patriots media questions release of rookie.

The Patriots cut Nick Coe and some in the media want to know the reasoning. The Patriots appear to be thin in their front seven with all the departures and opt outs. Coe could play tackle, end, edge, or even outside linebacker. Pretty much Coe could play anywhere side to side across the line even, though he was too slow for linebacker.

Jerry Trotta wrote about Coe and said he put up good stats for a guy who wasn't a starter. He also said "Once thought of as a first-round talent, Coe was the quintessential undrafted steal this offseason. Now, he’ll be exactly that, for some other team."

The Patriots can still bring him back but why he was cut still remains a mystery and with the Patriots, when things are a mystery; they tend to stay that way.
