Patriots cut both kickers during 53 man shake down.

In 2019 Stephen Gostkowski got hurt and went out with a season ending hip injury. He was replaced by Nick Folk and Nuggent, with Folk having two runs in 2019. Folk appeared in seven games and went 14 of 17. Not exactly bad for a guy who missed half the season.

In 2020 the Patriots let Gostkowski go and drafted Justin Rohrwasser from Marshall in the 5th round. It varies where Rohrwasser ranked but most everyone will confirm he wasn't one of the top 5 kickers in the draft.

In college Rohrwasser went 33 of 42 or 78.6% and on extra points, which in college the line of scrimmage is the 2, he went 96.8%.

Rohrwasser wasn't really kicking during camp. When he was, he wasn't looking accurate. Many in the media suspected injury and the Patriots ended up bringing back Nick Folk, even though at the time Gostkowski was still available.

On Friday, Belichick said the two kickers looked about even to him. Leaving many to wonder what he was seeing. On Saturday, Belichick cut both kickers, Puzzling everyone.

The Patriots currently don't have a kicker and it is unclear what the team is going to do. Will the team resign one after placing people on the injured reserve? Will the team let Bailey kick them or is Belichick just going to go for it this season? The Patriots have options, so nobody knows what they're gonna do.
