Patriots kicker Justin Rohrwasser has reportedly removed his Three Percenters tattoo

Randy Moss spoke about a Buccaneer potentially struggling,  Muhammad Sanu again says he will have a better season, and Cam Newton Arrived in Foxboro looking like a member of a barbershop quartet. Nothing really worth talking about, so Instead, The Patriots fifth round draft pick gets tattoo removed.

Justin Rohrwasser a kicker Who is accurate when kicking field goals inside the opponents five yard line, got his racist tattoo removed.

It was TMZ who broke the story, and reported that he had started removing it immediately after being drafted.

Rohrwasser claimed ignorance about the tattoo's meaning when he spoke to WBZ-TV after TMZ revealed the photos, “I’m going to take ownership of it. This is not who I am. No matter what, that’s not who I am. Hopefully, you will all find that out.”

Trevor Hass of the Boston Globe wrote that the Patriots kicker started realizing the meaning of the tattoo around draft time. "Rohrwasser, a fifth-round selection, told reporters he got the tattoo when he was teenager, thinking at the time that it was a patriotic tribute to the military."

Matt Vautour wrote in an interview with some of Rohrwasser's teammates after the draft,“I was kind of shocked. I thought it was a joke at first. The first thing I thought was, they must not really know him. In my three years of knowing him, I never got a whiff of that. Not one bit," said Knox, who is African American. “He’s a real funny guy, never spiteful of anybody. I’ve never even seen him mad. I was completely surprised when I heard that. That can’t be right. Anyone that’s around him knows that’s the furthest thing from that.”

Rohrwasser issue now will be, can the guy kick field goals? I wrote an article after he was drafted. From the traditional 20 yard extra point, Rohrwasser was 95% accurate. In the modern NFL, he has to add 13 yards. His field goals however, weren't as accurate.

Rohrwasser only went 15 of 20 on field goals at Rhode Island. At Marshall he was only slightly better kicking 33 of 42. Going from  75% to 78.6% field goal accuracy.  He also showed his leg, kicking a buzzer beating 53 yarder against Western Kentucky..

So if the Patriots can get the ball to the 36 he can get it near the uprights but there's a 20-25% chance that it's going between the uprights. Patriots fans have been spoiled with having Adam Vinatieri and Stephen Gostkowski over the past two decades that they may be calling for Rohrwasser job come the bye.
