Did Edelman Just Drop His Name Into The Quarterback Battle?

With all the talk surrounding the New England Patriots quarterback competition, former college receiver reminded fans on his Instagram account that he has the ability to play the position.

Edelman captioned the pic, " QB & WR communication at all time high during quarantine training sessions."

Edelman has been working out with Stidham and is looking to link up with Newton before the Patriots report for camp.

Michael Corvo of Clutch points talked about Edelman's college career and mentioned that McDaniels could come up with creative ways to use the quarterback turned receiver.

"The Patriots’ veteran wideout has a perfect passing rating (158.3) in his NFL career. In the regular season and postseason, he’s completed five of his six passing attempts, for two touchdowns and 141 yards..."

"Edelman could always see a few opportunities to show off his skills, especially as head coach Bill Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels look for creative new ways to revamp the playbook..." said Corvo.

Anything is possible in the NFL. Especially with the Patriots.
