Good evening, So I wanted to address those asking me to take over the DPN Page on YouTube.
First off, the page belongs to Ray.
Secondly, my blogs average 1-3 views each. with the occasional blog spiking to between 5-10 views.
If you have noticed I have anxiety so talking in front of a camera messes with my ability to speak fluidly. On top of that, I studder when I read out loud. I always have.
Ray built a brand and I do not want to damage it. Thus I would turn it down most every time. I appreciate Ray having faith in my writing and taking a chance on me. I am doing my best to grow the Facebook version of DPN Sports Talk. Attempting to follow the requirements set forth by Ray.
I write one to five blogs a night. I understand quality over quantity. As a writer, the only way I can tell the quality of a blog, is by the number of views or likes it gets. When I first started writing for Ray, I would send him a couple of articles a night. My hope was if I wrote 3-5 articles, atleast 1 article would be quality. Where as if I wrote only 1, there would be no guarantee.
As Far as just reading my blogs out loud, I believe I have recorded a few on my YouTube page and I have also attempted to read them on sportscastr.com
Over on Sportscastr, I tried to read one blog, three times. Each time the stream was cut after 30 seconds. I do not know if it was the viewer from sportscastr support or if it was my technology.
All I know is I was shuddering pretty badly while trying to read my blog. If my blog was cut due to my inability to read out loud without shuddering, I get it. Sportscastr is full of amateur broadcasters and analysts trying to make a career. The company wants quality product. Not someone who sounds like porky pig while they're reading.
Again, I thank all who have asked me read my blogs. I appreciate the support. Maybe someday, I will but I just don't see it at the moment.
