Quinn Nordin went 4 for 4 on the day. On Friday, he went 10 for 10. His first couple of days were said to be questionable but since than he's been lighting it up. Nick Folk has been out for unknown reasons and the Patriots have even had Nordin doing kickoffs. This is good for the young kicker, although Folk was in workout clothing today.
David Andrews picked the right time to get hurt. As it allowed him to be there for the birth of his son. Congratulations to Andrews, and welcome to the newest member of Patriots Nation.
The Patriots had a light workout day and so the media decided to really not report anything. The same guys that been working on kick returning and coverage got some work in. How good they did is left to speculation.
As for the quarterbacks, Stidham was in person wearing workout clothing and Mac Jones might ditch the number 50 for the number 10. Jones and Newton got some work in with Hall, Meyers, Bourne, and Olszewski.
Surprised some people aren't talking more about how Gunner's coming along as a wideout.
Brian Hines wrote, "Gunner Olszewski continues to look like a better overall wide receiver this summer. He was busy in team drills today, catching five-of-six targets from both Cam Newton and Brian Hoyer. The lone incompletion was a misfire by Hoyer."
Hoyer was the guy under center for most of today. Reports are he looked good, even though he threw an interception. He's not gonna start but he looked like a serviceable backup.
Jake Bailey got some work in and got to show off his all pro punting abilities. Showing he's ready for Thursday night.
That's pretty much it. Not much reporting going around coming from Patriots practice. Other than Gaffney getting cut and Gant being signed it appears to of been a quiet camp just before the teams first preseason game. Hopefully, the team is ready to take on Fitzmagic and the Washington Football Team. It's days like today, that If I was getting paid to write, I'd be loaded with anxiety because there's nothing going on.
