Titans release Butler.

The Titans cleared $10 million in cap space by releasing Malcolm Butler on Tuesday. Butler had a career season but has never really lived up to the number one that he was signed to be. Butler finished with 4 interceptions, 14 passes defended, 100 tackles, and allowed a rating of 83.2%. 

Of the 127 times butler was targeted, he allowed 80 to.be caught for a competition percentage of 63%. Teams averaged 10.9 yards per catch on Butler with 226 yards after the catch.

The 31 year old defensive back will probably be expecting around $10 Million in salary for 2021. Butler showed he is still a number one but his age suggests that he would be wise to consider signing with a team with an established number one.
