2023 Patriots Mock Draft With Realistic Trades According To The Point System.

The New England Patriots are walking into the draft with 11 draft picks in 2023. The Patriots need to make a splash and using the Draft Point system, I have figured out a few draft weekend trades that the Patriots could make to help them build for 2023 and the future. With a Mock at the end.

Currently the Patriots have the following eleven draft selections in 2023: 14th, 46th, 76th, 107th, 117th, 135th, 184th, 187th, 192nd, 210th and 245th draft pick.

On day one of the draft, I have the Patriots making two trades.

The first trade I have the Patriots making is with the Giants but they could also make basically the same trade with the cowboys. The Patriots will trade back the number 14 pick and get the 25th, 57th, and 128th pick.

The Patriots then trade back up into the first round with the Eagles. The Patriots will send the 46th, 76th and 192nd to Philly in exchange for 30th, 94th and 219th draft pick.

Resetting the Patriots draft board after that gives the Patriots the following picks: 25th, 30th, 57th, 94th, 107th, 117th, 128th, 135th, 184th, 187th, 210th, 219th and 245th draft pick.

The Patriots will then make a late day two trade sending the 135th and 245th pick to the Titans for the 147th and 228th selections.

Again, resetting the Patriots draft board after that gives the Patriots the following picks: 25th, 30th, 57th, 94th, 107th, 117th, 128th, 147th, 184th, 187th, 210th, 219th and 228th draft pick.

On day three the Patriots will make a pair of trades.

The Patriots will trade up, sending the 184th and 187th to the Saints for the 146th and 257th selections. 

The Patriots than make a late day three trade sending the 219th and 228th picks to Cincinnati for the 206th and 246th selections.

It is not uncommon for Belichick to make that many selections. In 2009, 2010 and in 2015 the Patriots made 12 draft selections. Since the Brady draft in 2000, the Patriots have had 10 drafts with 10 or more draft selections.
