The New England Patriots 2022 season officially came to an end. It was a good game but too many mistakes costed the Patriots. The game showed the Patriots are better than we have seen them play. Unfortunately, they're not in the playoffs.
What the offense showed was it needs to play more efficiently. It has the talent without a number one pass catcher to move the ball. Buffalo's defense played hard but a couple of bad decisions and turnovers costed the Patriots dearly.
What the defense showed is that unlike the offense, it has the corners playing one position higher than they should be on thebdepth chart. The team needs someone that can shut down Diggs. They also need a pocket disrupting DT to push the line backwards and to force the ball to the incoming outside rushers.
For a loss, this was a positive. The Patriots have a moral victory to end the season and they should be proud. And for those harping on Mac Jones, look at how many games he missed and then look at what his average says his stats would've been if he played all 17 games. And then remember, Zappe played really bad defenses, so Mac's stats would've been higher than that. Mac Jones could have 20 touchdowns on the season if he didn't get hurt. We're on to 2023.
