The rest of us know Cam is the starter for the season at the minimum but he's been far from perfect. We also watched Stidham perform, he looked like he could replace the bottom 8 starting quarterbacks in the league and be just as productive at this point as them. Is that a good or bad thing? So I decided to share what people are saying about Stidham after the KC game. Bernd Bushmasser, Phil Perry, Andy Gresh, Katie Feehan, Tyler Sullivan, and other's give their opinion of Stidham. While several made good points, Erik Scalavino, Evan Lazar, and Dave D'Onofrio summed Stidham up pretty well.

The Conclusion: Jarrett Stidham's mistakes came from inexperience, drops, and circumstances surrounding the game. Stidham has an upside, flashed talent and should look better versus the Broncos if he starts. Stidham didn't play as bad as his stats say and that Edelman interception changed the complexion of the game for Stidham.
I'll say it again, extend Newton through 2022. That allows the Patriots enough time to properly develop and see what they have with Stidham, while riding with the inconstant rollercoaster that is Cam Newton. Then decided to extend Cam for 3 years and draft or sign his successor while letting Stidham walk, or Decide Stidham is the guy and get him a backup who could possibly compete for the job. This isn't rocket science.
