Rookie Draft Pick Dalton Keene Returns Fire at Cowboys' Mouth Piece Skip Bayless for Unwarranted Criticism

Apparently Skip Bayless decided to call out Belichick for drafting two tight ends in this years draft, over on his show on FS1. Bayless has bee. The classic media bandwagoner of the Patriots. So fans listen just to have their team stroked.

Talking about the Patriots new tight end duo, Bayless went on to say; “you can’t name them because nobody knew them in college football.”

In his latest article on Musket fire, Thomas Carannante wrote about Bayless, "He continued by essentially saying there’s no chance either of these guys become Gronk or Greg Olsen, but Keene clearly doesn’t feel that way"

Bayless knows the patriots don't need stars, they need production but he won't admit that on air because he needs ratings to maintain his paycheck. Kinda like some public relations people for certain politicians.

The Newest Patriot tight end Dalton Keene wasn't having any of that. Keene responded to Bayless with "Keep it coming..."

Keene should be out working and getting ready for the 2020 season. Instead he's getting pissed off at Skip Bayless. So much for Belichick using media clips to improve Keene. If Keene wants to watch a sports show, he should tune in to DPN Sports Talk, or better yet appear on the show.

Carannante was quick to put Bayless in his place. Reminding the potentially senile anchor, that the Patriots never draft the best player or the biggest name. 

There has been a running joke that Belichick either plucks guys off the street or gets the from walmart. So Carannante is right, that's the "Patriots way". 

Even in free agency, the Patriots aren't known for paying for big names. Normally, they make big names out of nobodies. There are a few Exceptions like Gilmore and AB but they're far and in between. The Patriots develop players because of their corporate mentality, where other teams get their players developed out of college.

Carannante goes on to say, "Are the Patriots ever ones to go out there and sign or draft players with the sexiest stats or measurables? Nope. It’s the 'Next Man Up' and 'No Days Off' mentality in New England. You’re working for the greatest football coach ever, not trying to win a popularity contest."

For those that want the big name and elite player, Belichick went out and signed you Cam Newton. However, as Canannante pointed out in another article, you guys aren't satisfied because Newton's big name didnt come with a fat paycheck. It leaves the question be asked if so called fans and members of the sports media even pay attention to the 'Patriots Way'?
