Josh McDaniels faces great test.

Josh McDaniels faces great test is the title of an article by Justin Trombino of Musket Fire. It goes like this.

"This upcoming season might be Josh McDaniels' greatest test as the offensive coordinator for the New england Patriots" Trombino said.

Where do I being? Basically in a nutshell Trombino said McDaniels has been around the Patriots for a while, and Although he is the offensive coordinator, he could leave any time to become a head coach. It would be remiss not to say I think that taking another NFL head coaching position would be a very bad decision for McDaniels career.

Trombino also implied McDaniels will have to show he can coach and more importantly win without Brady. Brady helped write the playbook but McDaniels can expand it without limitations, into one Stidham is more capable of running.

"It’s also fair to say that there may have been some play designs that have intrigued McDaniels over the years that he wasn’t able to ever run with Brady because they weren’t suited for his abilities — such as trickery plays that involve a mobile quarterback. Stidham is young, capable, and athletic enough to adjust and transition into any play design that McDaniels is interested in." Says Trombino

McDaniels gets to be the authority on the playcalling with an inexperienced NFL quarterback, and that is the challenge.

This is all assuming Stidham doesn't lose the starting job to Hoyer or anyone else.
