The curse of the Goat

The first case of the coronavirus in the unit States was reported in January 2020 but football went on. The superbowl came and went.

In early March Tom Brady still hadn't resigned with the Patriots and life in the United states was not normal. By mid March the United States was in a shutdown. It was devastating for Americans. Everyone wanted to know how could this happen.

Then Tom Brady came out and said he was not resigning with the Patriots and everything became clear, why America was being punished.

On April 21, Rob Gronkowski was traded to the Buccaneers. The next day several states reopened early. What happened next was those states started seeing spikes in the coronavirus.

As the summer came, The NFL made plans for kicking off the NFL season. All seemed good. Then it was announced the Buccaneers had delayed their Jersey reveals.

On June 15th, several Cowboys and Texans players contracted the virus. The league, did it's best to keep it under wraps.

On June 16th, Tom Brady revealed the first pictures of him in the new Tampa Bay Jerseys. Early June 18th, Rob Gronkowski revealed photos of himself in his new Jerseys.

This move was quickly punished by the football gods and now the season is in Harold according to Adam Schefter.

Schefter tweeted on June 18th "One Buccaneers’ assistant coach has tested positive for COVID-19, and two other Tampa Bay assistants have been quarantined, per sources. The one Buccaneers’ assistant coach who tested positive is asymptomatic."

The United States has the most amount of people infected with the virus. With the president calling for a stoppage in testing to lower new numbers, we may never know how many are actually infected.

Chris guest of Clutch Points wrote. "Due to the sheer volume of cases, the United States also ranks first in total deaths caused by coronavirus: 120,688. While that number might not seem particularly high, that does represent a death rate of over 5 percent. That means that of the people that have contracted COVID-19 in the United States, over 5 percent of them have died due to the disease."

Chris goes on to say what many Americans are thinking. That with how serious the virus is, that maybe the NFL should reconsider having  the 2020 season.

Lord knows how the football gods will punish the United States if Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski take the field for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFL may want to void their contracts for the best interest of mankind.
