Bruce Arians Says What Many Assumed

Bruce Arians has taken pop shots at Belichick during the 2020 season. Anyone with a brain can see through that but his latest comments are more honest but the media is sure to twist them. Most fans can agree that Brady wanted to prove he could win without Belichick. That's what Arians alluded to, take a look.

Arians told Pro Football Talk, “I think Brady’s competitive spirit is so strong that he wanted to do it. He wanted to show people. I’ve never said anything bad about Bill Belichick; I know everybody tries to say I do. His record speaks for itself. He is probably the greatest one ever. But I think Brady wanted to try a different way."

This is what Patriots nation has said over the 2020 season, some even before Tom left. Now Arians knows he took pop shots at Bill over the past few months but this comment here is nothing any honest Patriots fan should get upset with.

Brady showed that if he left the Patriots and went to a team stacked with talent that he could win. He proved his point, he didn't need Belichick. All Brady needed was an elite team in need of a quarterback to win and he found that in Tampa. While Brady proved he could win without Belichick, the team he won with does not make Brady look any better. At least in my opinion.

If anything, it makes Brady look worse as a quarterback. I made the comment that all three the Patriots quarterbacks in 2020 would've had better seasons playing with the Buccaneers. I stand by that, so while I give it to Tom for winning his seventh but this was his least impressive superbowl victory.
