Patriots cut Speedy X-Receiver and special teamer

On Saturday the Patriots released one of their receivers. Quincy Adeboyejo, a 6'3" 200 pound speedy X receiver who had spent time with the Ravens and on the Practice squad.

At just about 6pm, the fourth year receiver tweeted, "Fired on my day off."

If unclaimed, Quincy Adeboyejo will be placed on the Practice Patriots injured reserved list. This is not so much a firing at the moment and more of the Patriots trying to store away talent until next year.

Adeboyejo was expected to make his keep as a special teamer. He runs a 4.43 forty and a 6.73 three cone drill. Although a little light,  sitting at 200 pounds; Adeboyejo seems to have better attributes than Harry for the X position.

The Patriots still have a large group of receivers to sift through and so without the Preseason to help, Bill has to try to make strategic decisions that will help the team now and down the line.
