Working On My Writing.

In some of my previous articles I have attempted to do my own scouting reports on potential draft Prospects in the 2020 NFL draft. I watch some game film or film room videos. I watch highlight videos, read and listened to reports and checked player stats. 

One thing I have been worried about is plagiarizing somebody else's Profile on a player. Thus I found my self over using terms like low risk high reward. I also list needs development instead of listing players flaws. It reads like Im making every player sound like an instant hall of famer.

I know what I see & hear. Sometimes what I see goes with what others have written in a Profile, sometimes I see things others miss. I am not a professional scout, analysts or writer. So I am not always sure how to write the player Profiles. English was always my worst subject.

I am also not really sure how to scout offensive linemen, or defensive line moves/techniques. Does a lineman move well, do they get their hands on the defender, Do they get pushed around, do they allow the defender to the ball. That's what I look at for offensive line. Defenders is do they get to the ball, do they plug holes, do they disrupt the pocket, can they tackle. That's what I look for on the Defensive line. Anything else on the line I need to rely on others 

Since I read a lot of them, my biggest worry is that I will write something that I  have read without realizing it. I try to give my own opinion. I am trying to work on it. I am also going to be trying something new with my articles. I will be sharing and giving my thoughts. Maybe that will improve my scouting articles.
